"Made-Up" is a bittersweet comedic frolic for a talented foursome, it has the right stuff to play in limited release and move on to wider exposure.…a playfully irreverent approach to middle-age rites of passage.
- David Hunter - THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

Made-Up is a lot of fun. …. Heads can be set to spinning by the layers of meaning in almost every frame…a well-crafted, black romantic comedy, full of wit and life.
- Cindy Widner - THE AUSTIN CHRONICLE

This festival gem was smart, hilarious and a great first effort by Shalhoub.
- Jennifer Prestigiacomo - THE DAILY TEXAN

First-time director Tony Shalhoub got such a gift with Lynne Adams' funny observations about women, self-esteem, and the convergence of appearance and make-up.

Taos Hosts Memorable Film Festival
In my opinion Made-Up, a comedy directed by Tony Shalhoub and written by his sister-in-law Lynne Adams, emerged as the most enjoyable film at the Festival. It's also hilarious.
- Betty Jo Tucker - REEL TALK

Shalhoub has an eye for composition and a strong sense of pacing. Lynne Adams' script gets off some zippy one-liners. Brooke Adams gamely allows herself to appear (literally) in the worst possible light. And Amurri, who has her mother Susan Sarandon's gorgeous saucer eyes acts with impressive poise and confidence…... it could catch on with specialized auds.
